No, I opposed the govt bailout of AIG or any private business and question why Obama continues to give private industry taxpayer money and not allow them to bankrupt.

Wilson's outburst was about whether reforms would pay for the healthcare of illegals, not abortion. You raise an interesting point--if federal subsidies to individuals that purchase insurance plans that provide abortion coverage indirectly pay for abortions, then federal tax breaks to employers offering health insurance to their employees that pay for abortions would also indirectly fund abortions for the same reason. I'm surprised that this issue has only surfaced in the context of proposed healthcare reforms and never in the context of long standing tax breaks to employers for providing insurance. It makes me think that the issue is less about the Hyde amendment than an effort to defeat reform.

Federal tax breaks is merely allowing people to keep their own money in the first place.
