Here's a hell of a fact:
by nerdnam

Obama's favorability-unfavorability rating in the South is 28-67, while it is 68-23 in the rest of the country.

No wonder other Republicans are nervous about being seen with Joe Wilson.

Wow...just in the south, hunh?...Better tell all those racist hicks in NJ and VA everyone's finally onto them too!!

checked out your link....can you define "rest of USA" for me....the poll didn't. After it defined the South, Midwest, Northeast, and West....those lists accounted for 50 states and DC....then the last category, "rest of USA"....made no damned sense. Check your survey that you are so impressed with....it breaks the info down a bit more so you don't have to quote some other jackasses misinterpretation. <link>

GEOGRAPHIC BREAKDOWN:

Northeast:
DC, ME, VT, NY, MD, PA, CT, DE, MA, NH, RI, WV, NJ

South:
FL, NC, SC, AL, MS, GA, VA, TN, KY, LA, AR, TX

Midwest:
IL, MN, MI, OH, WI, IA, MO, KS, IN, ND, SD, OK, NE

West:
NM, CA, OR, WA, AK, HI, MT, ID, UT, NV, AZ, WY, CO

Did find it interesting that only Obama had mostly positive ratings. Nancy, Harry, and the rest of Congress were nothing but disappointment to most everybody polled. The only group that consistently polled in favor of all things democrat were those in the northeast region......

"rest of country" would be Guam, Virgin isle, district of columbia...

nevertheless, 3/4 of america are 60%+ while southern mouth breathers have their head up their ass, as usual.

You know whats killing Corzine in NJ? His environmental record and his bizaree plan to sellthe states highways. Seems he's cut most programs, in what once one of the most polluted states in the union, to the bone. Most unions have stopped campaigning for him. These are the primary reasons he is only polling at about 70 - 75% among NJ Dems. Christie was endorded by the very influential NJ Environmental Federation. Christie is having problems because of his pro-life stance and his proposed health care cuts, otherwise he would be pulling in more Dems and almost all the independnents. Many of whom are going to a previously obscure independent named Dagget who got a big shot up in the polls since he actually had the balls to propose raising the sales tax and tolls. Not exactly a ringing endorsement of teabaggery.

If you actually looked at the raw data table just above the geographic breakdown section the numbers add up and all 50 states are accounted for. Seems like they forgot to call "rest of USA".
Re: Here's a hell of a fact:

So are you going on record that the numbers are false or misleading?
Re: Here's a hell of a fact:

Can't question the part of the methodology they put out, seems a simple question they asked. Results are certainly suprising but I've no reason to say they are false or misleading. This is a weekly tracking poll and they've found similar results for a month ( as far as I checked back). I don't consider Daily Kos an unbiased source though.

"I don't consider Daily Kos an unbiased source though."

Their polling is considered unbiased (its done by Research 2000 not them). Incidentally Fox polling is generally good too.

I think Americans simply hate politics. They might think they enjoy it, but really they just like the tribalism not the actual workings of real politics. We get all worked up for our side to win, build epic narratives of defeat or triumph etc., then have no passion for finding compromise, balancing competing interests etc.

That really sums it up quite well.
