Elephants and their memories
by Pace2

All of us know that elephantine memories attributed to humans is a badge of distinction. Elephants have "graveyards" where old sisters go to die, and the young, and their sisters, and aunts, daughters and the like, visit to mourn, They remember,

We have an abberation in Washington; elephants that don't remember, take Dick Cheney for instance. Can't remember if he told Scooter the Libelous if Valerie Plame was a CIA agent, can't remember if he asked Scooter to leak info to the press.

And of course, we have the pachyderms who don't remember the eight years of lies, deceit, the general ignoring of the common man, WE even have T Boone Pickens saying last week "We're entitled" to lucrative Iraqi oil contracts, because, get this folks, "we lost many soldiers in our war for liberation", yes, Iraq OWES the US oil contracts, because when we swipped the card, we used human life as our collateral. Sure sounds like a populace statement to me, especially when you're one of the entitled or the newly entitled, like all those real estate agents, marketing types who decided to become Republicans and get elected to office.

Job for life, eh folks? what short memories, Let's not forget those 1% home owners rates, no holds barred, or for that matter, all those billions spent to prop up the former businesses of the Dick Cheneys and others, like John Major, of Great Britian, or the Carlyle Group ala Jim Baker.

Yes, good ole boys to the very last drop, everyone forgets, they seem to have lost that elephantine memory, well, there's many in this country who DO NOT forget, and DO NOT want to repeat, as Einstein said "Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, hoping for a different outcome",

Yes, that guy was smart, very smart, poor Albert, seems everyone has forgotten what he said,

And if you are into retro-sensibilities, you know, no gay marriage, no babies out of wedlock (Hi Sarah!) no drugs, no short skirts, Fear of God, Burma shave, Randy Kilowatt, Donna Reed, and the rest of that sludge that fifties threw at us, well, I would think you'd remember the words of that nice old Professor Einstein from Princeton.

But then again, Princeton was once headed by Wilson, and he was another pariah to the elephants, They didn't listen to him either, and forgot all about post war economics and ended up with a Austrian pyschopath whose only talent was painting bad art. But boy were his final solutions effective!

Yes, the elephants in Washington just can't seem to remember, so tomorrow, why don't we all "remind" them why they are in the shit pot they are in right now?

Obama's president now - has been for nigh on 3/4's
by spreadsheet
of a year. Anything that occured prior to Obama - especially if it reflects poorly on noted GOPs, is irellevant, egregious....and just downright sour grapes. It's a whole new shouting day for the GOP now. Their slates were swiped clean, on the day Obama was inaugurated. For instance, on 1/19/09 "deficits didn't matter". But on 1/20/09, deficits magically transformed into the potential ruination of us all. Anyone who obsesses over history (meaning more than 9 months past) is just a ding-dang George-hater, and that's all there is to it.
Fair, I don't hate George Bush, I despise him

I want his name struck from all stone pillars, I want him wiped out from history forevermore,

BUT, only after we fix what he screwed up, and we ain't done.

Not by a long shot.

I don't want his name struck, I want it emblazzoned on everything he fucked up. There's no other way to ensure that we never go back to such idiocy in the future.
