Ayn Rand is great
by Wall Street

Anyone that drives Leftists THAT insane with rage and hate is just alright with me.

Thanks again for all you’ve done, Ayn. :)

I just wish Slate had hired a somewhat less despicable person than Johann Hari to write this piece. Hari is just so...disgusting.

I hate to disappoint you, but I don't think Rand fans fit neatly into the categories you describe. Maybe it's because I'm an architect, but friends of mine who at least admire Rand's novels happen to fall all over the political spectrum. I'm an Obama voter (though hardly a 'leftist') who's read the Fountainhead numerous times. Sorry to poison your little fantasy.

Me too. A fellow Obama-voter who's read We the Living, The Fountainhead, Anthem, and Atlas Shrugged with great enjoyment. Oh. Wait! could THAT be a symptom that I was "driven Insane"?

I couldn't agree with you more. This is what I've noticed about leftists as a rule. They are very emotion driven, very insulting and lack intellectual rigor. .... But, seriously, if they want to deal on the ideas, they'd be trounced, so I guess this is their best bet.

Wall Street: sorry you haven't looked at Murray Rothbard today 11-2-09 at lewrockwell.com Also sorry you don't know "despicable" has been a laughable word ever since Sylvester J Pussycat pronounced it "dethshpikable" in Loony Tunes. Rand was a cartoon character. Bee-beep!

funny i saw almost this same exact thing talked about on fox news. its funny how the people who get all wound up over issues like "flag desecration" and "the war on christmas" could even argue that the other side is emotion driven. nice projection there.

Some of us just can't get enough really, really, bad writing.

Melodrama and unintentional camp. TV has survived on this cocktail for fifty years.
