Agreed - this is a good way to write an article: Get advice from an expert and write about that advice. This is one of the best articles I've seen from Farhad, and I hope he continues writing his articles this way.

I agree--it's nice to read an article about the electronic devices we use every day. It's also a good article to send when one is in a pointless battery dispute with a spouse, co-worker, etc. There's so much misinformation about batteries. I always thought I was supposed to let the batteries run all the way down (which I never actually did, anyway). Now I'm worry-free.

Agreed - I've given Mr. Manjoo grief before for bad articles, but this was was to the point, informative, and spot on. More like this.

Ditto. A lot fo the tech articles on Slate are silly, misinformed, or just cheerleadership. This seemed to have a clear subject and provide useful information.

While I agree that this was a decent column, I would like to have seen more people interviewed. All the information is from one source. Is this journalism at its best? I'd be willing to say no.

Still and all, a decent piece.

I liked the article too, it was very informative. I'm a complete idiot when it comes to technology so I had no idea that it was bad to keep your laptop charged up to 100% with the battery in it. I'll know better from now on.
