Noah actually means that the will of the Democrat Party is being thwarted. Not the same thing. Unless he means that a majority in the House equates to absolute rule. An interesting concept. Perhaps all the Republicans should just be removed? Maybe we call it an Enabling Act? Could work.

This is a perfect example of the logic I cannot understand. The desire to have a government run healthcare system run by representaives who are easily bought. If possible reconcile that absudity, it makes no sense to me. If your representatives are easily bought why would you want them in charge of your healthcare? Giving them control over your healthcare will not make them less easy to buy, rather quite the opposite. The addition to power given to them by giving them control over health care would make their services just that much more valuable to the highest bidder, making the wishes of the average voter even less valuable. Please, somebody explain to me this logic.

The lack of logic is in the assumption that government is any more or less corrupt than private business. Government is supposed to look after the publics interest and does so more often than not. You can't say that of private business (by definition). Unfortunately public servants are not angels any more than the rest of us are but held accountable for misdeeds more publicly than the rest of us. Do government programs get ripped off? Absolutely, so do private companies. This is why we have laws, law enforcement, and courts.

The logic that makes no sense to me is the politician that says government can not work and I should vote for him/her to prove the point.
