Have you read your article? Your author picks and chooses her facts. She relies on Recovery.gov job estimates. Well great, except those statistics are not what Obama's latest were based on. Her decision to cite the wrong metric allows her to pick the lower (30,000) number while ignoring the larger (600,000 + number). Also, it neglects the hundreds of thousands of jobs (estimated) to have been created or retained in support of this spending program.

Also, Baum implies that the Obama administration calculated GDP and then extrapolated how many jobs were created based on that number. That's false; the individuals and companies receiving stimulus money reported the full-time job equivalents that they created or retained. Again, faulty analysis.

It's easy to write a convincing op-ed article when you don't have to worry about getting any facts right.
