True fiscal Conservatives that live social Liberal lives understand the individual right and freedoms that many leftists and neo or paleo-conservatives hate that we have. I for one will look for a job and not expect the government to hand me anything. I for one believe I must and should support my family with health insurance even if that means my wife and I must work and not demand you or citizen to pay for my family. The thing is the far mental midget left have it in their heads that this country, our government, and the people of this fine nation owes them something, but we don't. They believe we should be punish for the sins of the past for generations to come while not realizing they also are punishing themselves to. So in the end Jen I am a true Conservative on the fiscal sense and feel that less government spending is great but I am also a social liberal that also believe less government is great in our private lives. I don't care if someone wants to smoke a bone, eat carpet but as for me I would prefer they keep it to themselves but also they should be treated equally just like you and I. So as I close what America need is less nanny state laws and more people to understand we are all different and learn to accept and live with the differences from each other.

Like you, Uncle Maddy, I don't want to watch anyone do private things (unless I choose to watch a steamy movie) but I don't care what they decide to do in private. If they are conservatives doing it - I still don't care. It's none of my business. This nanny state mentality we have going on is driving me nuts. I don't like expectant libs to have their hands in my pockets.

You repeat these things you hear but you don't think them through. You just parrot talking points with no facts at all.

I always think things through. And I usually post a link with my opinion.

This was an e-mail joke that (unfortunately) rings very true and I don't need "links" to prove it to anyone. Any person who pays attention to things know that libs do those things attributed to them in my post here. Now, the rub is that some conservatives do those things attributed to liberals here. That's what makes it just a joke - not an indictment on all libs and a compliment to all cons.
