Fuck the Republicans
by JackHughes
+1 Reply

Since the Republicans are abusing the filibuster by using it on every piece of legislation moving through the Senate, the Democrats shouldn't simply passively react to the GOP's parliamentary obstructionism.

Instead, they should either:

a) Pass bills with a simple majority despite the rules and send them to the president for his signature and let the Republicans howl. There's nothing in the Constitution about 60-vote majorities.

Or,

b) Let the Republicans filibuster the health care bill until their vocal chords -- or bladders -- fail. No breaks, and with a huge electronic sign on the floor of the Senate indicating the number of unnecessary deaths occuring due to lack of health insurance as the Republicans stall any meaningful reform. Reid should keep the Senate in session 24/7 with quorum calls until the filibuster is busted.

In either case, all it takes is political will.

Jack, you do know the Repubs do not have the filibuster numbers to abuse, right?

The Republicans vote like a political party, i.e., with party discipline. The Democrats too often act like freelancers.

Maybe you should be saying Fuck the Blue Dogs instead!

Oh, I do, I do. I expect obstruction from the Republicans. When stabbed in the back by members of their own party, the wound is even more unforgivable.

As Napoleon is quoted, an army without discipline is just a bunch of guys wearing the same clothes. For political parties, a lack of discipline is even more disastrous.

Blue Dogs should be stripped of their committee assignments and moved to the smallest, most inconveniently located offices in Washington.

You gotta remember we have legions of Obama"band wagon" fans, of course in this case, these are die hard to the end Obama-Nashi "band wagon" fans.

Not that they are your typical bandwagoners, it's just people getting on the computer and making noise.

Obama dorks.

Most of em don't last..

Much of the Obama fans just got involved, and think this guy is special.

Remember his joke about his bowling.

His presidency is like that. This is the special Olympics President.

He is the Daley Stooge from Hyde Park.

It's hideous, and his supporters are not counting beans or even catching the box scores. Even if they were paying attention they are likely heathens anyway.

His stimulus was rammed through, "yes I love you, I want to be with you", and nobody voted for it, because it was done the same way this HC bill was.

Cloak and dagger, smoke filled rooms, special interests (that they claimed they would't be influenced by) who are actively authoring bills.

He said Nancy Pelosi is going to be the greatest speaker or something to that effect, "in history".

Truly you people are dumb.

Obama's continued support, and open praise of, he called Pelosi "our rock", means he's okay with her.

Even though she slandered the CIA, and they refused to put the bitch on the stand for it.

Strong arm tactics employed against Cindy Sheehan in their election, not to mention being one of the most diviscive national figures, and shows no signs of retiring.

You know the old saying, if you put lipstick on a pig?........

This is the same unpopular Congress (led by you know whom), but now has a half black/ half cracker mofo.

Obama would do well to call for her to resign, for his own reputation.

Because IMO they are one and the same. Obama-Pelosi.

He's a lawyer, and he has no clue what's in these bills, he delegates to her.

And does it matter? Oh, his subordinates, and vast hordes of "lobbyists" are running the show.

Fo show.

But it's clear, this is text book case of mutualism. Rahm Emmanuel has never cared for her I hear, but why do they keep her around??? She's powerful, and the perfect patsie.

Throw grandma under the bus, as his ace in the hole. He's done it before.

She is riding Obama, because under normal circumstances, she wouldn't get away with what she is doing.

Bush made life miserable for her at times. :) He he he.

Simply she has her black stallion, and she's riding him all the way to tipperary.

Anyone care to deny that?

If something goes wrong, they can always resort to blaming what I call "the crazy bitch".

But truly, the stimulus was a joke, they have violated their own transparency promises, and now that they refuse to debate, and here comes the race card???

I don't know if anyone else noticed, but Nancy Pelosi, and Barack Obambi have a serious credibility problem.

It's time for them to debate these bills in open session, and amend the pieces of dog shit, or scrap em all together, it doesn't bother me either way.

No more rubber stamping for our Romulan President.

No accountability whatsoever.

And what will we be called?

It really doesn't matter, so fuck you too!

Careful! The Republicans Might LIKE That!
by LeRoy_Was_Here

Especially guys like South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford, with his Argentinian floozy, Senator John Ensign, having affairs with a staffer's wife, and this fellow, also from South Carolina:

Two things you can say about your South Carolina Republicans: they know how to stand up to federal oppression and they know how to party.

Back on Monday, former Republican state representative and now assistant Attorney General Roland Corning was on his lunch break when a police officer found him parked his Ford Explorer at Elmwood Cemetery with an 18 year old stripper from the Platinum Plus Gentlemen's Club, a bag of sex toys and at least one dose of Viagra.

Local police were apparently on the look out because the cemetery had become a local hotspot for trysts and illicit drugs.

When the Officer Michael Wines came up to see what was shaking, Corning sped off. According to the police report, Corning "attempted to make a hasty retreat, spinning the tires in the driveway and accelerating rapidly." But another cop soon stopped him and Wines caught up with them a few moments later. After Corning and the stripper gave conflicting stories about what they were doing in the cemetery, Wines proceeded to search the SUV and found Corning's stash of sex toys and Viagra. To clear up any misunderstanding, Corning assured Wines he always kept them with him "just in case."

LeRoy: These guys all seem to be very fond of getting fucked.

Jack, you do know the Repubs do not have the filibuster numbers to abuse, right?

BINGO!

The Republicans can't block it. It is all on the Dems. Also blaming Bush sounds a bit stupid at this point. So whining about Republicans and Bush is pointless.

Forty Republicans working in unison to filibuster -- plus a couple of bought-off corrupt Democrats -- doesn't change the reality of the situation. It just means a couple of Democrats are as bad as the Republicans.
