Slate and reality

If the writer cannot distinguish between News and Opinion, that is not Fox's fault. I prefer watching opinion, fair and true, to the "Dancing with the Stars" or reality series which aren't. Yes, I am a Fox supporter, I prefer actual news and truth to what passes on MSNBC, the uberhate, cable channel....or CNN, the Fox Lite and forget ABC, CBS,NBC or PBS....talk about bias....only, of course, if you head is on straight can you tell the difference.
It's Fox that can't distinguish between News and Opinion.

It conflates the two in order to propagandize its unhinged agenda. You can't say that about CNN for sure. CNN reports the news, Fox reports their version of the news and presents it in a way that is ALWAYS critical of Obama, no matter what. And if Fox has to make shit up in order to achieve this goal....then so be it. Sean Hannity does this each and every night. And on Fox News, the likes of Hannity and Beck are expected to be treated as legit news, not just opinion.

This is all really easy to understand, as long as you realize what Fox actually is.

Hannity & Beck aren't promoted as news
by HelloMcFly
They are hour long opinion based programs. Nothing more.

Air America did not survive because it was all hate and many lies. I believe Hannitty 'Rush survive and prosper for the opposite reason.
Hannity and Rush prosper because of their audiences.

Liberal talk radio will never work because it's too high minded. You have to dumb shit down in order to make curent events interesting and worthy to discuss on air for hours at a time. And there is a whole market for this on the conservative side because of this. This market exists due to the fact that wingers are so far out of the mainstream they have had to go underground in order to find a place where they can all gather together and circle jerk.

They have found a home on AM radio.

I used to agree with you about CNN being better at giving the news but then they spent time trying to defend the President from jokes on SNL. Fact is they are all biased. Best thing to do it go online and read from a few news site to get a good picture of what really is going on.

I think Rush simply got there first. He's a great broadcaster, no question. Though in terms of sheer talent Michael Savage by far gives the best radio.

However, liberal host Thom Hartmann has a consistently excellent show: civil, thought-provoking and compelling. Ed Schultz and Ron Reagan put in solid efforts as well, though they are closer to mirror-image versions of their conservative counterparts. Though these progressives all refrain from the reflexive sensationalism that is conservative radio's bread-and-butter, their ratings are growing. they'l never have the sheer numbers of the conservatives, but that, again, is because the conservatives got there first and carved out that radio market.
