Bootleg nation

Hopefully China can make cheap knockoffs of the batteries we will need in our electric cars.

they no doubt can and will, and with american corporation involvement. You know, like the #1 and #2 tire manufacturers, Good Year and Cooper, who are heavily involved in China as we speak. Some of the other anti-China protesters here, might want to protest about this. If so, may I suggest going to your time machine and trying to stop Nixon's trip...? Otherwise, you're about as effective now as:

(a) standing at the bottom of Niagara Falls and demanding that the water stops or

(b) the several dread-locked slacker white boys who sit in roads next to the Chinese embassy in San Francisco and demand a 'free Tibet' because they really liked a Rage Against the Machine song, dude.

You damn right! Because you right wing brain deader idiots who have denied the very existence of classes for decades, and who cannot grasp the fact that ALL value added is from labor are now reaping what you sew!

You are so slap damn stupid! You freaking went there to China out of pure GREED, and you asserted that greed was so good for us, would save us. What they HELL did you brain deaders expect, that they would not learn how to make things by making them?

You are probably so freaking racist, you thought they were inherently dumb or something.

How many of the complainers read th e"Made in.." labvel on the product they buy?

Likly few, or none. They just read the price tag and never ask how the Chinese make it so cheap.

Now you know.

thanks China! Now I have left over money for my kids' H1N1 shot. We don't have as good of public health care as China, you see...not yet anyway. Not that Phily Steve is on THAT job. ha.

"on that job" you know, is a private investigator expression, Phily guy (and I'm all for your team in the Series, btw, no hard feelings). You want irony? Things that make you go 'hmmm'? Why does a certain kind of person in America spend so much time and worry over complaining about the problems of another country--rather than work on addressing the (much larger) problems of their own country at home? I speak from first person, here, going to the doctor or hospital in Beijing is easier and much less costly to the average person than it is here in the U.S. Period. Did you log on to the story about the U.S. being one of the countries in the world falling rather than rising? Aren't you concerned about the reasons? Could one be--and I don't think I'm going out on a limb here at all, that a disproportionate amount of U.S. citizens prefer to criticism other countries rather than their own?
