Should we be getting ready for WWIII?

Sure sounds like it... a new 'new deal' that will fail as badly as the first one, some discussion today on Slate about how the courts need to be packed by the democrats, and now this comparison with FDR and Obama vs the Press. Fun times.

God, I would hope we could get a new deal that 'fails' as badly as the first, which put us first among nations and my family in their own home from tentament housing.

Other than rising deficits, lower wages, and failed wars, what is the conservative record of accomplishment?

Obama has tripled the deficit in 2009 vs 2008. But I guess that is ok cause he is a dem.

we would have lost the Iraq war if it had been up to the dems.

Reagan created 20 million new jobs.

We arent looking very good in afghan right now and that is "Barries essential war." Maybe he will decide what to do sometime in 2010 right before the elections.

I'm picturing oldmanriver standing alone by the street, holding his teabag, waiting for the "Iraq Victory Parade" to begin.

Well, maybe Dick Cheney will show up.

Is that what you call declining wages? Not sure how we achieved the highest standard of living in the world with declining wages. Must be magic!!

You say this in jest but I think that is a great idea. I think I will organize an "iraq Victory Parade". Those of us who respect and thank God for our military will turn out. We can have our signs that you know and love. Fox news will carry it. thanks for the suggestion EC!!!

I think you are remembering the benefits of winning WWII...

We acheived the highest wages with liberal Democrats and liberal Republicans in office, from FDR to Nixon. But ever since Carter, a conservative Democrat, average wages in America have declined. Is that a coincidence?
