Republicans: Time to escape and evade Dick Cheney.

What has Cheney done for you Republicans lately, aside from ruining your majority status on all frequencies of government and making 4 of 5 Americans ashamed to call themselves Republicans?

Republicans could retreive a measure of power in a few months if they did nothing at all, silently turned their backs, and simply let the American legal system process this suspect.

To avoid a legal probe Moby Dick will continue diving deep to terrorize the collective American psyche and, if necessary, is willing to drown the entire Republican topside whaling crew.

Survival solution? Cut the ties.

Time is past for Republicans to assess their unhealthy loyalty to this unqualified failure. He's clearly a damaged, guilt-ridden, spent force... grown desparate to run out the life clock before the historians close in.

Cut Cheney out of the herd. Say he was never really one of you and let him fend for himself.

Pointing fingers at Obama's skin tone, or hoping voters will forget your recent fiscal and physical orgies, or somehow get it all muddled over time ... just won't work.

You've had a full year at this "new' game. You're deeper in the shitter than ever. Joe Voter just isn't that weak minded. Proof? You've been "thumped" in two election cycles and the mountain Christians aren't pulling out the guns, as you clearly hoped they would. You understimated them, too.

So punt.

Show some contrition and give up Dick Cheney to the authorities. Freedom isn't free. Make Dick Cheney your official conservative patriotic sacrifice -- if you genuinely desire that conservatism should have a bright future in America.

Now is your Come-to Christ-moment, Republicans. Take it. America will be stronger after you demonstrate some responsible initiative to re-balance a once great system.

It's the paradox they're in.

Still a chunk of their base who think Dick Cheney was the greatest Vice-President in history...almost as much, maybe sub-surfacely more, than still like Dubya. Limbaugh, Hannity, etc. still defend Cheney and Fox still brings him in for "expert advice".

Meanwhile the public support for him is in the low 20s/high teens and making him the "face" of the Republican Party is a worse disaster than letting Dubya speak at the 2012 Convention.

How do they keep the base happy by not dissing him...and the general public fooled into thinking they reject Cheney...at the same time???

taking the multiple 'got it wrong' offender seriously is like viewing Spiro Agnew and Dick Nixon as exemplars of ethical probity.

put the geezer out to pasture and spare us the spectacle of his idiocy. this Parrot IS Dead.
