It's getting ridiculous

Ok, I was an Obama supporter during the elections, but the more I see him and his staff work the more concerned I have become. If it weren't for Fox, we would have communists working in the White House. If it weren't for Fox we would have a very corrupt (and very biased) organization working on the Census for next year (Acorn for those who don't watch Fox.) To see those two girls relish in the fact that they were helping two people to break the law was almost unreal. And it seemed like a normal day's work for them.

The thing that really bothers me though is how badly everyone except Fox criticized what Bush did for so many years. Every move he made was picked apart by a very liberal media. And yes, all of us out here in the Heartland do know that most of the media has a liberal bias (or at least that's how you guys come off.) Bush knew to keep pressing forward with his policies even though he was criticized intensely by the liberal media. Oh, and you know what? We haven't been attaced again since 9/11. So you can criticize him all you want but you have to admit that at least he kept us safe.

Fox is the only network that has covered much of what's really gone on in the White House for the past few months. How is it a matter of journalistic integrity when the other networks won't even cover stories that put Obama in a bad light? I know many people that watch Fox now that never did before because they feel like the other networks aren't even covering what's going on. Most people I know feel that the bias is on the other side, not on Fox's.

What Obama is doing right now is a major concern to most Americans. I know many people that are terrified of what he might do next. Nobody except Fox is asking where all this money is coming from or who has to pay it back. Nobody except Fox is asking why people who claim communism as their core political belief have the President's ear. Nobody except Fox is quetioning anything that he does. Isn't that part of the media's job? To be honest I don't even consider most people in the "media" to be true journalists anymore. Independence in the media? The only place is exists anymore is on Fox. I honestly think CNN has become a front runner for government run media.

Bill Maher actually said that people that disagree with Obama should be dragged out of their houses kicking and screaming. If that was the policy four years ago, Bill Maher would have been dragged kicking and screaming from his house. I'm pretty sure that's what they do in Communist countries. I don't know about the rest of you but I feel good knowing that someone is challenging the government like we should be instead of just letting them do whatever they want with OUR money. Oh, and for anybody that doesn't know, Congress had to raise the limit for our national debt just so the U.S. wouldn't have to declare bankruptcy. And I know that Bush was responsible for some of that but Obama has taken government spending to a whole new level.

And what will happen when we can't raise our debt limit anymore? What will happen when there isn't any money left to pay for free healthcare and welfare and every other communist idea that our government is trying to shove down our throats. I already know too many people that have lost their jobs either due to the minimum wage increase because their employers couldn't afford to pay them unless they themselves went out of business. What's going to happen when small businesses can't pay all the ridiculous taxes that are about to be levied in order to pay for all of this great new stuff?

Nobody in the liberal part of America ever asks where the money comes from, they just want more. And without a question of who gets the bill. Now all of the sudden if you criticize what the President is doing, you are a racist and a bigot. Well, I've met plenty of Republicans and plenty of Democrats and I can tell you here and now I know that liberals are the ones who see race, religion, sexual orientation and economic differences. If we leave the country to the Democrats, they'll turn the entire country into a permanent underclass where we all take our orders from the government and we all eat government cheese and the American Dream is just something that used to get taught in school books.

Oh, and for anybody that still has confidence that our government can run a national healthcare system look at Amtrac, the post office, the Congressional Bank, the Cash-for-Clunkers program or even the national budget. These people can't run anything, I don't want them running more of my life. I don't want to be in the government's pocket. I don't want the government telling me what to do or think or say or play on my radio.

"Bill Maher actually said that people that disagree with Obama should be dragged out of their houses kicking and screaming."

Got a link?

wolf,

How do you choose which part to target? Or is it just fish in barrel sometimes?

If you catch a guy bloviating on one point, it destroys the credibility of his entire post, Wolfie is a master at identifying that weak point, much like a karate master taking down a brick wall. He gets either a sputtering reply or you never hear from them again. Rarely, a valid link actually exists, a total disappointment to Wolfie:)

That liberal bias really showed up during the runup to the Iraq war when the American media, even Slate, uncritically diseminated Bush's propaganda about Iraq's WMDs.

The first bombing of the World Trade Center by Al Quaida was in February, 1993. Since AQ didn't succesfully attack the US homeland again until 9/11, you would have to admit that at least Bill Clinton kept us safe. Apparently whatever focus Clinton put on AQ during his terms in office got lost when when Bush took over. Obama is not going to make the same mistake.

"Apparently whatever focus Clinton put on AQ during his terms in office got lost when when Bush took over"

It's always interesting watching people try to "reason" backwards from a conclusion.

Yeah

Come to think of it, Obama's been in office one month longer than Bush was when 9/11 happened. There was only one catastrophic terrorist attack on the United States during the first nine months of the Bush administration. As of today, there haven't been any during Obama's first nine months. Doesn't that mean he's actually keeping us safer than Bush did? Just trying to follow the logic.

Bassguy set up the premise, I just followed it.

Being no worse than an imbecile isn't especially ambitious.

Why don't we follow the Obama administrations policy of blaming all the negative aspects of our economic situation on the previous administration. So now we can all blame two AQ attacks on the Clinton administration. From all of your "logic," it appears that presidents are given a year of amnesty in which they're not accountable for any of their actions. Hurry up Obama, pass all of your ridiculous overspending bills before your year is over!

"Now?"
by reJoinder

You dirtbags have always tried to blame 9/11 on Clinton, what's the difference? It's not like you'd take responsibility for your guy Bush's blunders, all 8 years of 'em.

No one's said Obama "isn't responsible for anything." Only that he's not responsible for fixing ALL of our probolems in 9 months. Unlike Bush, at least he's trying.

Tring to make America look weak in the world. Yea you're right

You have achieved your ambition of being a snotty nosed asshole but don't expect everyone to follow that path.

Two? Following your "logic", the 1993 AQ attack on the World Trade Center would be blamed on Bush I. Let's have a little consistency here.
