WHY DID THE MESSIAH LIE ?
by MIDAMER
-3 Reply

Throughout the campaign the Messiah promised that when he was elected the negotiations leading up to the healthcare bill that was vitally important to the American people would be open and transparent. In fact he promised that they would be carried by CSPAN so that every deal in favor of any interest group would be public. The negotiations are behind guarded doors with only the select Democrat elite participating. Muscle is being provided by Rahm Emanuel, Chicago style.

WHY DID THE MESSIAH LIE ?

1. He didn't actually lie, he has such limited experience that he was totally wrong about the process. If true, this point exposes the huge mistake made by the electorate.

2. He didn't lie, the Congressional leadership is willfully keeping him from fufilling his promise to the American people. If true then he should explain this to the electorate unless his loyalty to the Party is greater than his loyalty to the people.

There may be another reason. Maybe

The Republicans have are against health care reform. How can you complain that they are not participating in negotiations?

DUH - he is a politician

You must be one of those dumbasses that really believed Obama was some type of messiah.

He is just a politician. He is a damm good one since he came from nowhere to be President of the USA. The GOP would love to have someone that was as good as a politician as Obama is.

Some morons in the GOP believe that was Palin. ha ha ha ha

Your position being that they were invited but refused to participate? When did Reid and/or Pelosi ask them to assist in combining the bills? Give me a link.

They got plenty of participation:

"That said, some context: Of the 788 amendments filed, 67 came from Democrats and 721 from Republicans. (That disparity drew jeers that Republicans were trying to slow things down. Another explanation may be that they offered so many so they could later claim-as they are now, in fact, claiming-that most of their suggestions went unheeded.) Only 197 amendments were passed in the end-36 from Democrats and 161 from Republicans. And of those 161 GOP amendments, Senate Republicans classify 29 as substantive and 132 as technical.

Yet many of the GOP amendments on this incomplete list do seem pretty substantive. For example, one amendment offered by Oklahoma's Tom Coburn requires members of Congress and their staff to enroll in the government-run health insurance program. Another, sponsored by Lamar Alexander of Tennessee, would "establish an auto advisory council to make recommendations to the Secretary of the Treasury regarding how best to represent the taxpayers of the United States as the majority owner of General Motors." An amendment written by North Carolina's Richard Burr requires that "a private plan would be exempt from any federal or state requirement related to quality improvement and reporting if the community health insurance option is not subject to the specific requirement."

No, this dumbass clings to the party line: that those who supported Obama thought he was a Messiah. I don't, and never did. He is a good President, though.

Yes, I understood where the top poster was coming from!

While I voted for Obama it is still to early for me to tell if he is a good President or not. To be a good President in my view he has to get the debt under control, reduce spending, help ensure the dollar doesn't continue to tank, thus leading to hyper inflation, and pull the vast majority of the troops out of Iraq and reduce millatary spending by 30% or so.

You ACTUALLY think that proves anything? What a laugh.

WHY DID HE LIE ?

The Republicans have made it clear that they are against any of these bills that came out of the committees. Why would they then be involved in combining these bills?

Why are you clueless? Did your head get run over by a truck when you were a small child?

He isn't a Messiah..........he's just a man

You also seem to have no idea how a bill is formed before it ever gets to the voting stage. Not that it matters. You have no interest in passing any kind of Health Care Bill. To Hell with the American People your only interest is seeing Obama fail.

On this one thing...at least be honest for once in your miserable life.

eom

I would guess that I understand how a bill gets through as well if not better than you do. Not the point.

Why did the Messiah lie during the campaign?

You may ignore that question as you have done so far or actually think about why he lied.
