Ong Bak was a great experience. It was amazing to see how different a martial arts film can be. The story and characters were paper thin, but the action sequences were amazing. I loved how they played some of the stunts multiple times and from multiple angles just so you could see that yes, it really happened, and, no, there is no special effects apparatus in sight. I enjoyed The Protector as well, but it didn't offer much different from Ong Bak. It sounds like they took things to another level with this sequel. Definitely a must-see.

I fully agree. The fight scenes in Ong Bak, as well as the chase scene, were absolutely insane. If you have not seen them, go to YouTube and find them immediately. They're great watching for a pre-workout warmup too -- they get your heartrate up!
