"Actually, I take that back, they have some very original ideas about intellectual piracy."
Nope. That is not exactly what happened.
You went over there for the cheap labor -- you have it so that almost no Chinese can afford the products they themselves make, much less imports from the US. Then like a greedy little grimlin with chomping teeth, you have a whopping fit if they bootleg?
Anyway, those bootlegs are not your market anyhow...they could never afford your products, so its no loss to you.
Also, you took all this crap over there and dumped it on the Chinese market rather than sendng it to the garbage heap...you got a great deal, just like Henry Ford did when he sent the Soviets the entire River Rouge plant during World War II so he could retool.
They were in no position to refuse because we blockaded them for over 25 years, starting in 1949! Internationally, they had to barter, buy with hard goods because of what we did to them, and that was only the latest thing in a long, long line, and then you have the damned nerve to accuse them when if not for them, right now we'd be in the depths of depression?
That was a hell of a way to pay back the only nation on earth that would trade with us after our revolution...why do you think we built those "yankee clipper ships" for the Pacific ...to get to CHINA, you idiot., Without trade with them, we would never have survived the British blockade (see Paul Revere and the World He Lived In" by Ester Forbes for the facts on that).
We are the most treacherous people on earth, we kill our freinds, murder our puppets!
