Let's slip Mary Tyler Moore's sidekick out of 32nd position and replace her with my Mom.

She (and my big sister) had the patience to raise my two brothers and me. And believe me, that was no small feat.

At 94, Mom can still keep up with the best of them. She can play any card game you can name (Last year she wanted to learn Texas Hold 'Em.) And she is the queen of the assisted living facility.

Let's give Mom the national acclaim she most assuredly deserves.
