Suckers
by headhunt33

This attack is designed to do three things:

1. Give some red meat to the lefties who love to see FOX News get beaten on.

2. Distract said lefties from the mounting failure that Obama is becoming.

3. Give the media an excuse not to cover any FOX scoops or thought lines surfaced on FOZwhich could be embarrasing to Obama or Democrats (such as Van Jones or ACORN).

Yep - change we can believe in. No more politics as usual.

4. Give Fox and its sympathizers a chance to act victimized.

Scoops?

What scoops?

Fox News didn't discover the two conservative activists who tried the hit job on Acorn.

It was fed to them. Sorry, but a scoop is something you ferret out yourself. Fox picked it off of YouTube.

Of course, the talking points from TownHall (where these two cretins work) came later.

Fox DIDN"T bother to report thier past behavior, or how they had been gamed elsewhere or that they had been sued.

There is no story about Van Jones, other than the fact this one of this former organizations led the fight to deprive Glen Beck of sponsors. He fell on his sword in the mistaken belief that getting out of the Adminstration would keep him from becoming a distraction.

As far as Van Jones's record on the job goes, the things he did or did not do, there is no story.

Fox Noise made up a McCartyite attack based on his obscure earlier writings. The attack was vintage McCarthy.

All fluf and innuendo, no substance at all.

If this is what passes for integrity in wingnut world, we're not surprised.

Experience has shown that there isn't anything too low for the true far right wing crowd.

Speaking of integrity, perhaps you ought to get some.

Van Jones was done in largely because of his 9/11 trutherism. That really isn't "earlier", as it was only 5 years ago (not like we are talking about a masters' thesis here). Also, what difference does it make whether any writings were "obscure" or not? it would seem to me that the more obscure the writings were, the closer to the bone they were.

With all due respect to you...I think you have that backwards brother. Or perhaps it is true for both sides? Either way the media should be able to ask questions of any administration.

But see this is the greatest thing that you can have your opinion and I can have mine. Something to cherish. That is America.

The fox news debacle is a smoke scene, Obama needs 2 trillion bucks for his welfareheathcare agenda. Fox will give the facts and YOU decide. Obama doesn’t want to give you that option.

Obama wants you to do what your told. Remember his a so called college professer.

I agree that the media, or for that matter any citizen, should have the right to question any administration on how it is running our country and expect to get an honest answer, something that was lacking from 2000 thru 2008. What that media or citizen doesn't have the right to do is twist the answers it doesn't like to mean something other than what was intended or to cherry pick only those things that prove it's point of veiw. That isn't America.

Moose, FOX NEWS wouldn't know "facts" from BS if they stepped in it. All they know how to do is sell the neocon point of view and twist things to make their points.

I love how you neocon idiots hate healthcare for your fellow citizens, but are all to willing to provide it for the people of Iraq and Afghanistan. Such fools.

Unlike Bush being a so called "military pilot", Obama actually was a college professor.

No, I don't see any integrity at all in attacking a person for thier earlier personal views on a subject and using that as a basis for hounding him out of office.

And, since Fox felt emboldened by this blatantly McCartyistic tactic's short term success, they figured they'd ramp it up into a full blown campaign against several targets, featuring baseless and weak claims backed up with a full blown noise campaign.

On the strength of it, Glen Beck has promoted himself to head of the GOP, replacing Rush Limbaugh, who claimed the crown for himself last Winter after the President suggested that the GOP could get more done if it stopped listening to him

It will be interesting to see which forer disc jockey turned right wing screamer will get the nod next!

It's unlikely that the Adminstration will talk to much longer about Fox Noise.

The campaign has been very sucessful. Fox, and its lies, it's red baiting tactics and its appeals it ignorance and fear are the issue.

Most Americans see them for what they are.

Outside the United States, Fox is a laughing stock.

I totally agree. I do like to sift the facts for my self from both sides. I watch both regularly and jump from one to the other as a rule. What is sad is that a person has to hang on every word of every statement from every talking head. The statements are almost correct but leave just a bit to the imagination...such as Pres Obamas comment on what is in the "Bill". He said there were no provisions in the bill for coverage of illegal aliens. Then Joe piped in and called him a liar... Ok...but what he left out was that later he (Obama) will just declare amnesty for all those here illegally and then they can be covered. So you see it is all twisted from the beginning. They know that they are twisting the truth from the get go. We sit here and argue over how twisted..where twisted ...etc. .So if there was something said on Fox that was incorrect why doesn't the administration step up to the plate and say so? what are they afraid of?

Oh and why can't the Bill be read first before it is voted on?

"Oh and why can't the Bill be read first before it is voted on?"

Clueless.

Ok people I am new at this online stuff. So I will try to be more clear about what I am trying to say.

Here is what I feel:

We re all being led around like little kids. The information we get currently is able to come to us from varied sources. One side seems to only report what the White House wants them to the other(s) have some questions that are being avoided.

You have to have your information come from more than one "ultimate" source or there is no point in paying any attention to it. Other than to take direction.

I am not happy any longer.

I was thinking just last year and making plans to expand my very small business but I think I will just sell it. Why bother.

Re: Suckers

I would agree no change that is good for me and my family. I would agree no increased transparency..Really it is increased opacity. Say good bye to our great county. The American dream, it seems to me, was intended to be an individual pursuit. It would appear that it is being changed to a more socialist pursuit. I need to, secure my own household and provide payment ( maybe by way of mark to market-I bet that is coming soon) for those who should not have been set up in home ownership, but were. So now myself and others like me and you need to step up to the plate and open our wallets to bail the system out. Where is my bail out? Where is yours? Where do I get any assistance?

To others reading this ...You can call me clueless if that makes you feel better about your position. That is ok. It does not change the fact that I questions and not on board with some of the things that are being jammed down our throats..Your attacks on me do not change how I feel.

The Obama administration is stating the obvious: Fox is not a legitimate news organization. Obama has nothing to lose by pointing this out or by refusing to appear on Fox.

Fox itself is cleary worried by the Obama admin stance. According to FNC pundit Bernard Goldberg, the White House's message that Fox is not a real news organization "might become part of the bloodstream of the American culture".
