A BOTF Public Service Announcement
by Gatewood
+4/-1 Reply

Gotta Love these official acts of Fray-centricity folks. Even our editor/moderator is not immune to the insanity to some extent. I’ll bet nobody warned Jeremy about the dangers of mental cross-contamination when he signed on to do an otherwise simple and straight forward job. Become a board moderator? Sure! How hard could it be?

Well, here’s the news on the Fraywatch board today from our Fray editor/moderator for the Geezers refugees from the Best Of The Fray Board:

Announcement

I know that a lot of you have been posting in Geezers as a sort of refuge from BOTF and have turned it into kind of a second BOTF.

While this seems to be going well, I'm going to have to ask all of you to move again.

We're publishing a Geezers story soon and will need that forum for actual article-related comments.

I recommend, if you do not feel like being evicted again, to go to the News & Politics Fray.

Not only is it unused for articles, and likely to stay that way, it is also a somewhat relevant title.

In any event, any future posts in this forum that are not directly related to the subject of "geezers" will be considered off-topic, and deleted.

Thanks in advance for obliging.

Best,
Jeremy

=======================

So . . . if you are a lost Geezer, facing a second Great Diaspora in a matter of weeks, do you go to the News and Politics Fray as suggested by the helpful boss man? Hell no! You do the weird collective group think thing instead and go to the Procrastination board <link> and you do this because . . . because it has a cool name? Who the hell knows.

So . . . our poor abused lost little lambs in search of mutually comfortable group sheering session should now hike on over to the Procrastination board <link> after a brief pit stop at BOTF naturally to hawk up a healthy mouth full of phlegm to spit on the population while you are looking for directions to the NEW Fray posting Promised Land.

Get thee hither and yon, for you shall be Geezers no longer but PROCRASTINATORS. I think I can hear your brains gear down from here. How appropriate! Wait, wait! It gets even better! Apparently Jeremy has duplicated most, if not all, of the old Geezers top posts and threads and transferred them to the Procrastination board for the helpless flock of wondering disciples of posting cool. How nice!

I’m sorry people, but I had to share this with the board. You can’t invent humorous events like this. It has to happen naturally, and you having to be dealing with people as neurotic and unstable as shaved monkeys working together in a firecrackers factory in order for it to work out as it has done.

Kudos to Jeremy for playing along with the little kiddies! This stuff is better than a soap opera. I swear it is.

Stop already.

All I can say is: Anyone who posts on News and Politics Fray now is nothing but a fuckin' pussy!

Psssst . . . you seem to care.

Besides which it is my duty as a good Fray citizens to help little lost and bewildered Geezers Procrastinators who didn't get the message and stumble in here, crying their eyes out because they were abandoned by the in-crowd of cool kids.

Think of the children!

I can see the

average Geezer poster not having gotten the word going to either the Geezers board or the News and Politics board, looking for the gang and finding nothing but echoing emptyness and flying tumbleweeds. "Helloooooo! Mommy? Daddy? Is anyone here?"

Sniff! It chokes me up, it really, really does.

Wouldn't that be a hoot

to post either one on the Geezer's board with no explanation after wiping the board clean? Jeremy missed a golden opportunity to indulge in some old fashioned Fray Editor style fun and games.

I mean, first running away from critics, and then taking orders from a guy named Jeremy. That's just sad.

Too funny. Quick, it's 5:31 pm Mountain time. How long can this post last? :-)

I see that you noticed the derivative mocking t.o. 'loogie' hurled by their fearless leader earlier today. "T."

JackDallas for wading into that posting sewer full of Whine Babies in Jeremy's top post thread to pin the ears back on a couple of posters who were -- AGAIN -- lamenting the nature of the remaining BOTF posters.

It seems to be a fad among certain Geezers Procrastinators to advocate censurship rather than just suck it up and post with the big boys and girls as if one actually had a functioning spine. So kudos to JackDallas for pinning some ears back.

The only reason that I didn't do it is because I figure that I can MOST irritate the Whine Babies by NOT dealing with them directly anymore. They are all nervously chewing their fingernails waiting for me to pay them a stately visit in their new digs and spit on their new floors, and that's not gonna happen. I'm cruel that way.

Let 'em sweat and worry!

Thank you. I do
