Today, we are all Procrastinators.
by Lono

And I had just gotten all my black-light posters hung up, too.

Do I have to be a procrastinator today, or can it wait?

Just leave them up. You can change them out later.

You're a monster.

You realize, don't you, that you're completely and totally ruining your kid's life, right? Camping trips under a billion stars? Significant, substantial interaction, leaving her grateful and safe? Communing with nature in ways that have basically become trite and mannered for those not aware of the simple, sublime context of it all?

She'll never forget these trips. For the rest of her life, she'll look back fondly on them. For the rest of her life. And after you're gone, she'll weep quietly at the most unexpected times.

I hope you're happy with yourself.

I know, I know. It's an ongoing theme. Deal.
Do semi-luxury hotels

and day trips hiking the Grand Canyon count?

god, I suck as a parent. Thanks switters and Lono for reminding me of that once again.

Be my mom?

I love semi-luxury hotels.

I knew from the moment I found out I was gonna be a dad that I'd screw up my kid's life. The coolest part of the trip for her was finding an enormous pile (relatively speaking) of mouse bones and owl pellets beneath a crevice that must have housed a couple of owls (obviously). It was like a Frazetta painting in miniature, and she loved it. She's either gonna be a biologist or a serial killer.

Thanks.

Hey, buy the place, already. You're young and unencumbered...whaddaya got to lose?

Re: What counts is spending the time...
by Lono

not so much where you spend it.

You probably should have taught one of them about plumbing, though.
