It's pretty easy to figure out why Martha's version of The Apprentice didn't catch on the same way Donald Trump's original version soared to the heavens.

1.) The Apprentices weren't nearly as cutthroat, despicable, ruthless and superficial.
2.) The challenges weren't as brutal, fatal and tacky.
3.) Martha isn't as banal, stupid and derogatory as Donald is.
4.) Alcohol.

I suspect, though, that we've not seen the last of Martha on network prime time. It's only a matter of... well, time before her media franchise claws its way into an 8:00 EST slot. Just you wait.
