I'm not surprised liberals won this test, it is a reactionary test. Liberals are ready to forsake everything for a new idea regardless of historical data to the contrary. Conservatives, by training or choice, learn to evaluate the pro's and con's of issues, therefore, they tend to hold back from an immediate knee jerk response.

One of my close friends is very conservative, he has is a Dr., a fellow and he is a research scientist. He is one of the brightest people I know.

I followed you up to the last paragraph... You don't support your conclusions that liberals are egocentric or shallow. I am liberal who hates the black-and-white labels, and who respects the necessity of intelligent conservatism. We need two voices-- one for stability, one for progress. Ideally, we should each have some of both in our heads. Stereotyping either side ignores the complexity of identity-- and, despite your articulate vocabulary, it makes your reasoning look dumb.
