Liberals smarter than Conservatives?
by TakomaVolpe

To sum the article I just read, I would have to write "Liberals are way more likely to follow fads, jump on bandwagons, and basically follow any tangent that appears in their path than Conservatives, who would most likely take more time and study to determine if a tangent is worth following."

Dear TakomaVolpe,

You put it exactly right.

Sincerely,

Studying what?? What great changes have conservatives made that weren't circumstantially forced upon them, rather than careful analysis and dispassionate appraisal. By its very association with the religious right, conservatives have placed themselves in a position to disapprove of any change without the burden of doing the thinking for themselves.

Seeing as the only real "change" we are being presented with is socialism coupled with moral relativism, it's a stretch to assume that so called conservatives are against any and all change. Perhaps many of them simply do not like the only change being proposed, and do not like change for change's sake. In order to ever be truely progressive, it may be about time for some actual NEW ideas that can be considered.

tangents like civil rights and gender equality? Guess you guys didn't study hard enough Or did you?) No biggee - those issues weren't really that important, anyway. At least not in comparison to marginal tax increases on the upper-middle class...
