OK, I get the theory and all the intellectual reasons Mr Zimmerman's Christmas album isn't a joke. Homage, polemic, yada yada, all the stuff hip reviewers say when talking about Dylan and can't risk their cred by telling the musical truth, which, in this case, is that it sucks. I love this music usually and without irony, but I'd rather listen to Roman Polanski reading nursery rhymes...

It's always fun to read reviewers twist themselves into knots defending Bob Dylan, but I heard some of this stuff and it's truly awful. There were moments when he really needed to just clear his throat. Kinda disgusting, actually.
