Perhaps another good question would be: How (and why) did Honda come to rise in the 1970s? How did Honda exactly make it through the 70s and do it so well in comparison with Fiat who exited the same US market in the early 80s? (1981 if I'm not mistaken) Honda's migration state-side, with their bikes as well with their cars happened slowly over the 1960s & 70s in a interesting way.
