All politics is local.

This just plays into the cult-of-personality, egotistic label that's been assigned to him. Do you think that helps or hurts your agenda?

Exactly, eusux.

"to the person who shall have done the most or the best work for fraternity between the nations and the abolition or reduction of standing armies and the formation and spreading of peace congresses."

Perhaps you might like to inform the other 205 people who were submitted exactly what it was that Obama did that would qualify him as having done the most or the best work for fraternity between the nations and the abolition or reduction of standing armies and the formation and spreading of peace congresses in the less than 10 days before the Feb. 1 deadline for Nobel Prize nominations that he had been in office.

To me personally there is no problem. He is every bit as deserving as other past winners like Carter, Gore or Arafat. Hell, he probably fits the mold better than the other 205 for all we know. Fact is, since this "prize" has become perverted into just another looney libby hand job, handed out as a token of appreciation of someone promoting their political agenda, it means nothing to anyone outside your little circle jerk anyway, but I can't even imagine how some of the other nominees who may have spent their entire lives fighting for some cause they believe in must feel.

I don't think Obama's body of work compares, yet, to most of his predecessors. But perhaps there was just nobody better in the world this year that deserved it more.

Are there any suggestions?

It was the world's sigh of relief that America has come to it's senses, and a bold slam for the 8 years of Bush's insanity in foreign policy IE: innvasion and occupation of Iraq and the lack if real intent in Afghanistan.

But the more concrete issues could be realized in then newly elected President Barack Hussein Obama in making policy that allowed "unconditional talks" with nations like Iran & North Korea..you know what ever it takes to reduce hostilities and increase peace.

President Barack Hussein Obama's immediate ending of torture as America's leading foreign policy agenda. And his declaration of closing Guantanamo.

CON-tards will never "get it" and if they do they will walk around willfully ignorant and continously disagree with the entire world and 52 million fellow Americans out of nothing more than pridea bout one thing and one thing only

That due to Bush and the Conservative agenda of the last 8 years that America is not only in bad to critical shape domestically but internationally we have been besmirched.

Time to wake up CONs, change is here, LIBS recognize it and the world recognizes it. Why can't you stubborn folks?
