Honda CB350
by Vince Lupo
"My CB350 (manufactured in 1971) has a total of 24 horsepower, which does exceed a golf cart, but not by a lot. I am satisfied if I can outrace a Vespa. Reaching highway speeds can seem something of a small miracle, rather like when an aged relative manages 10 minutes of normal conversation." Excuse me, but are you for real? Your CB350 should easily hit 'the ton', and then some (The 1972 CB350 was rated at 36hp, so I don't know where you get 24hp from). I have a 1966 Honda CB77 SuperHawk (305cc) and was rated (in the 1960's) at 105mph -- don't know what kind of a golf cart can do that. Perhaps you haven't effectively explored the power of your bike, or maybe it needs a serious tune-up! Better double-check those numbers of yours....

Maybe it does just need a tuneup

I agree. I have a 1975 400 Super Sport and it has no problem getting up to 80 mph and I am sure would hit a "ton" if revved hard enough. At 7000 rpms it has a lovely hum.
