Such confident, self-approving callousness. Having no empathy is one thing; writing an article celebrating your cruelty is another.I expect Ms. Bazelon thinks she's very self-deprecating when she talks about "dumping" her pet.I find her narcissism deeply disturbing--disturbing enough to inspire my first post ever. Thank goodness a decent person was willing to step up and take over when Shadow became inconvenient.

I hope Ms. Bazelon isn't counting on the kids she forced to witness this to care for her in her old age.
