For I will consider Christopher Smart.
by falcon

For he is not a beatnik, but an early, prescient romantic.
For he exposes his own unfiltered personality in style unseen in work of poets preceding him.
For he sees the future.
For he cannot tell himself from a cat nor a cat from God.
For he cares not nor sees any use to do so.
For he sees only good in all that is of the true nature of any thing.
For he embraces antique phraseology, signifying his wish for a lost golden age.
For he resides in an asylum, signifying that the practice of poetry is alteration of consciousness from the norm.
For whatever that thing is, tilted upon his head, it is no beret.

Hi, falcon - I loved this (and I, too, wondered about that hat).

I loved this, too, especially, "For he resides in an asylum, signifying that the practice of poetry is alteration of consciousness from the norm."
