...and it's exactly as gross as the article says it is: runny, gummy, flavorless. Fortunately I have some real blueberries and some Grape-Nuts on hand, and mixing those in makes it palatable.I bought the stuff in a misguided attempt at political correctness: never again.
I love the Fage, but it does seem more like dessert than breakfast. Mixing it with cereal seems like sacrilege. Also, the judges seemed to have missed the stern order typed in small print on the label: "Please Do Not Stir."
I'm quite fond of Siggi's (the thick fat-free Icelandic-style yogurt actually made in New York), but it's outrageously expensive.
I grew up in California and remember when everyone made their own yogurt back in the seventies. They also sprouted their own alfalfa, made their own tofu, and composted everything afterwards. All four substances were equally appetizing. If the DIY trend returns perhaps people will figure out how to make those things better.
