Is someone cutting me a check for $663?
by foobar

Okay, let's say I make $48,082 and this health care bill passes (assume that the author somehow knows the final form of the bill). How does $663 get redistributed to me? Am I getting a tax break for the first $663 I spend per year on health insurance? Am I getting lowered premiums because of the competition in the insurance market this bill creates? Am I not paying a $663 penalty, therefore I'm "making" $663 - hardly a "redistribution". What form does this $663 redistribution of wealth take?

Lawmakers haven't even finalized a bill and this article is selling me on some nonsense that I'll get $663 out of it? Lousy.

That was my thought exactly. If I already have insurance where am I saving money or getting a refund/tax deduction?

Look - it doesn't matter WHERE it's coming from, if I say you're gonna get it, you're gonna get it. And if you keep asking questions, me and my buddies at the SEIU are gonna make sure you really are gonna get it.

2+2 is 5 if I say it is.

That's the cost savings in providing you medical coverage. If the insurance company decides to pocket your 663$, that's not the gov's problem. Welcome to capitalism!

And if the government decides to not give you your $663, that's your problem. Welcome to big government!

The article is'nt selling anything its relaying the results of the analysis of bill HR3200 as done by "The Tax Foundation". <link>

The analysis only states that income below $141,101 will raise by said amounts and those above $141,101 will decrease by said amounts.

If an article does nothing more than "relay the results" of another publication without additional discussion, the only purpose is to amplify that article's position, and in effect, help sell that position. Add some insight or turn in your "senior writer" credentials.
