There are two events where Wright said something controversial. Obama was not at either. You seem to think that because he said something you didn't like on those two speeches, he must have said stuff over the 20 years that would have been just as bad. The only problem is that if you read the text of those speeches, you'd have a tough time saying that it was racism. If you take Limbaugh's word for it, Wright is a racist. In my opinion, he is a black man who grew up at a time when he could be hanged and the killers would not even be arrested. He may not be all that forgiving and I understand.

Obama is sending more troops to Afghanistan because that is what he promised to do in the election. That is where the terrorists are, not in Iraq. Getting refocused on the actual war on terrorists and terrorism is the challenge. Boooosh promised to capture or kill Osama. He didn't do either. Obama is making a better effort and I approve.

Finally and most dramatically President Barack Hussein Obama is taking on Health Care Reform, something no one has even dared for 16 years, when we had a another real laeder in the White House.

I too was not just in Los Angeles in 1984, but also a part of the Olympic Team for LA. It's wonderful to look at things from the outside - in, but take this perspective from the inside- out. President Ronald Regan was instrumental in getting the 1984 Olympics to Los Angeles with all his Hollywood connections. And don't you EVER forget it. You can spell anything you want out of Obama's name, but nothing beats 6-6-6; the mark of Satan and Regan was Satan's pet. 1980-1988 was hell, just as 2000-2008. Obama just got there. There's a helluva mess left, worse than when Clinton left, and no one can clean it ALL up in '9' months. The Olympics is a 'festivity', not a big blow for the USA since we've had them here at leat 2 times in the last 20 years where many other countries never had it once. Chicago's "loss" is not Obama's fault, for USA never had a chance to begin with. Obama will fail at much and have minimum success. That's just the way it is.

FYI, the 2006 Winter Olympics were held in Salt Lake City, Utah which, like it or not, is still part of the U.S.A. Also, I'm sure it didn't escape your keen eye that Chicago (not President Obama) had prepared a bid for the 2016 Summer Olympics. According to my calendar, that's 7 years from now. The bid was first submitted long before Obama even announced his candidacy for president. But you were aware of that, of course, being so well-versed on such a wide array of topics.
