spare me
by jfc1

I really don't want to hear the opinion of a man who couldn't keep himself from tapping his trust fund to sodomize teenage hookers while "winding down" from a day of testimony on Capitol HIll.

What they're doing is legal, Spitzer. You can't even say that for yourself. Yet you got off scot-free!

no, you spare us!

as long as people as yourself are blind to the real disconnects between goverment and people, led to furies over "moral" issues, said goverment, Dems or Repubs, will be able to control us with ease.

What they're doing is legal,

this is the crux of the problem. Law, should reflect the will of the people, right? yet how come every measure to rip-off the people is "legal"?

It's grand to say the law should reflect the "will of the people", but how to discover what the will of the people is?

From the articles here in Slate, and other outlets with agendas of both the left and the right, I('d say the will of the people is only listened to when it is in sync with the will of the congress. Otherwise, the people are referred to as dumb, misguided, lazy, fat, ignorant, crazy...you get the picture.
