what is the point of this wishfulfillment? To make libs feel good, I guess. It has no effect on any one else.
Obama is burkean? No one who has ever heard of Burke will swallow that. Burke was all about tradition, the tradition that cannot be accounted for by what libs regard as rational explanations, those deeply felt feelings for country and religion and family. Burke was totally against the social engineering that libs want, the state indoctrination of the young, the contempt for religion and traditional authority. Honestly, you think we have not read Burke?
Conservatism is where people live. Like I always tell libs, look at other non western peoples. Why are they so attached to their religion? Why do they think marriage is important? Why do they all, though to varying degrees, feel that homosexuality should be in the closet (yes we are all hypocrites about the issue) ? Why do they feel a connection to others of the same group? All this they feel much more than we do. Our feelings are muted, yet such sentiments cannot entirely die. They will always regenerate to some degree.
Obama does not have the feelings that a president must have about his country. His loyalties are elsewhere. That makes us very nervous. The first black president should have been a conservative with western values. Obama is just not on our side.
Even the europeans are not happy. They see he is anti western. They insulted us as cowboys, now they see what it is to have a pro third world US, a US that will stand by as Iran threatens not just Israel but the west.
