Easy Fix
by Kasheri
You want a plain diaper? Easy. Use cloth diapers. While "stylish" is asking a lot of any diaper, the cloth diapers available today are convenient, available in white, and butt-Elmo-free. They are just as convenient as disposable as they are made with built in snaps or Velcro fastenings and do not require pins or complicated folding techniques. Certainly, they could be considered to be the antithesis of consumerism. The cost of a high quality cloth diaper layette, plus the cost of laundering the diapers for 2 years, is about the same amount that you can anticipate spending on discount disposable diapers within 7 months. I used the same layette for both of my children, and when done with them they were still in wonderful shape so I gave them to another mom.
