I would just like to say that it must be nice to be writing from some centraly air conditioned office about the heat in Iraq. I am reaching my 12th month in Iraq and all I got to say is that it is hot! We having working thermometers and digital watches that read out temperatures well over 120, and this has been for the past 2 1/2 months. Have you ever opened a bottle of water and been able to make instant coccoa with it? I didn't think so. There are guys going out in vehicles, and if their air conditioners break, the vehicles can get up to 140 to 150 degrees and that isn't adding what they wear. Don't ever negate what we do with your scientific babble about thermometers. We are capable of getting our high-speed gadgets which measure accurate readings! That is all I got to say...OUT!

Dont let these idiots at slate bother you, if they had thier way you would be believeing that we are losing over there, we INVADED Iraq, that we torture all our prisoners AND that no one in America supports the job you are doing there! Well you are doing a great job under extreme conditions INCLUDING 130 degree temps!! Thank you for doing a hot dirty nasty job that no one wants BUT someone had to do! Thank you!!
