Is Levin biased?
by KevinP
If I remember correctly, Josh Levin is an LSU fan. Of course he wants Tebow to sit the LSU game. Could this be the reason he wrote an article with suggestions that Tebow needs to sit out?

Clearly. Concussive brain injuries for all, as long as it benefits my team!

I wanted to add that of course there is nothing wrong with writing the article, only that he should disclose his fandom in the article.

Being a fan of a team is of so little importance to an article like this that I don't have any problem with the lack of a disclaimer. In fact, I don't think you can even point to a place where he said that Tebow should definitely sit out. He said that there is no issue with him playing if the FL medical staff clears him.

I am an LSU fan!

I guess I could have put a disclosure but I didn't think it was necessary. But I'll put one here.

Disclosure: Josh Levin has been an LSU fan his whole life. He enjoyed watching LSU beat Tebow and Florida in 2007. He even wrote an article about it: <link>. He also wrote an article that year arguing that LSU didn't deserve to win the national championship: <link>. As far as this year's game, he thinks an overrated Tigers squad has very little chance to beat Florida whether Tebow plays or not. He would like to see Tebow play one last time in Tiger Stadium if the Florida docs deem him healthy enough to play.

LSU fans are generally regarded as being the biggest bunch of idiots and assholes in the SEC. As such. I'm shocked that you're one :)

Why make it into some kind of contest? There are enough idiots and assholes to go around for every SEC team to have a healthy allotment.

Speaking as an LSU fan, my biggest concern about Tebow playing against LSU is that he will sustain that career-ending injury everyone is worried about. That would be tragic, and I'd rather not have any LSU players feeling the associated responsibility and guilt, which should belong to Coach Meyer, for playing him.

Having said that, I would like to see Tebow play, just because it wouldn't mean as much to beat Florida, if he wasn't in the game.

I am sure that we at LSU are "generally regarded" as "being the biggest bunch of idiots and assholes" by the SEC teams that come into Death Valley and get beat down!!! Entering Tiger Stadium is daunting, even for those of us that just go there to watch the game, I can only imagine what it must be like to those teams that try to play with 95,000 screaming Tiger Fans drowning out their QB.

We are no more assholes and idiots than Florida, Alabama, Auburn, Old Miss or any of the other SEC fans (though we might be a bit louder!),

Sounds like a big bunch of sour grapes to me, since we at LSU have TWO BCS NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS. Only Florida has this kind of bragging rights and if they beat us in two weeks, I hope they go on to smash who ever plays them in the BCS Championship game.

Levin when are you going to write an article explaining once and for all why LSU fans smell like corndogs?
