All the Rethugs I Know Wish

Sarah Palin, Glenn Beck, and Rush Limbaugh would just shut up and fade into the jungle. They are an embarrassment to intelligent Republuicans, of which there are already very few!

The wingers have filled the leadership void in the GOP.

The Republican party, an entity that is polling in the dirt when it comes to the popularity of Obama, has no real leaders in Washington. That's why you'll never hear someone going on and on about just how marvelous of a job that ol' John Boehner is doing these days.

No. Instead you'll more than likely overhear a conversation that involves Glenn Beck or Hush Limpballs being the actual "leaders" of what's left of the Republican party these days. And that ain't sayin' much for a once powerful major political party in the United States.

But who really cares.

The popularity of Obamacorn is falling daily by his own hand. And the coolaide drinkers swallow every bit for him. The world now laughs at the office of the president. The left tries to blame anybody but itself. boo hoo.

I was an intelligent Republican once...now I'm an intelligent independent who dearly wishes the Republican party would splinter, reform itself as a center-right fiscal conservative party, and storm back in the elections. I'll still vote for Republican candidates over the Pelosi/Reid/Obama Comintern, but I no longer identify with them.

Good luck with the Huckabee/Palin ticket.

Could we for once have a political discussion that doesn't involve the slinging of crass labels? The whole Rethug/Demonrat thing is, frankly, played out, boring, and banal. Yeah yeah, you don't like those other guys, but we ain't talking about nazis or commies here. These are just domestic political opponents. You start using these terms and the discussion's already over.

BTW, do you call your Republican friends "Rethugs"? I have many, many Democrat friends (including my wife)--I can't imagine having a worthwhile political discussion with any of them by starting off with "The problem with you Demonrats is... ."

Couldn't agree with you more and I've attempted to do just that and got constantly slammed with the insults. Here in this anonymous environment people tend to unleash their deepest fears and hatred. I was raised Democrat, switched to Republican in my 20's then Newt and his gang breached contract with America and started the mud slinging, innuendo trends that have deteriorated to the state of what they are today. That's why I have become an Independent. Philosophically I tend to embrace the best aspects of both parties concerning governments role in business and the welfare of the nation and the Armed Forces but it appears that the Republicans have abandoned all that I have held as admirable. I know many Republicans who no longer feel like 'Republicans'. Shame.

I think you are both being way too whiny about peoples' attempt at, both, creativity and release from the real feeling of no real control of anything just because we can vote. This post is suppose to be about Palin's book, so let me tell you about the real problem with "Going Rogue". There is nothing rogue about it. We once had a President (Cleveland or one of the Harrisons) that could write Latin with one hand while writing Greek or English, simultaneously with the other. Our early presidents wrote thier own speeches in their own handwriting. All of our politicians, either party, are now nothing but ghost-written talking heads. Palin's book is just more of the same BS to appear intelligent, and/or a cheap capitalization on her popularity. I for one, will not let it go that she QUIT Alaska's govenorship to either avoid SOMETHING or to start working on 2012 campaign.Neither is acceptable behavior for a presidential candidate, whether they are a Rethug or a Demonrat. By the way, you can call me a Demonrat. I'd tell you I kinda like it, but then, I might appear as stupid as those who thought it was good political strategy to call themselves "a couple of mavericks".
