I looked online to find out what's in the Health Care Reform bill and all I could find was a bunch of meaningless talking points. No where could I find a link that posted the actual Health Care Reform Bill.

Why doesn't Obama take each talking point and show the page in the Bill to back it up? Heck, put a link on each talking point that takes you directly to the page of the Bill that backs up his talking points. Obama knows his loyal pets will fall for all those useless and meaningless talking points. So why should he back them up?

Which bill is on the President's desk for signature, Alice?

Oooh, Obama has a plan? I want to read that one! Because I think what we're talking about here is one of the 5 bills in the senate, the one from the finance committee, that will be reconciled with the other 4 bills (all of these written, naturally enough, by our legislative branch) and then with the house bill.

That might be a good time to see the bill that's presented to Obama. Unless he's written one, and Alice is the only one who knows? Though if that's the case, it might be awfully hard to get it passed...

I'm inclined to suspect there's a lot of stuff that only Alice "knows."

Of course no health care reform bill is on the Presidents desk at the moment for signature, but she may have a valid point (feel free to write down date and time), for instance I don't believe the Stimulus was online for five days was it?

Fair point on the stimulus, though perhaps Obama's statement about five days came after that? As I recall, there was a fair bit of criticism about that legislation having been read and public, and maybe he was responding to that? I don't remember the context for his statement.

Because the "talking points" are lies. Democrats in DC have no compunction against lying to us stupid people. And many Democrats here around the country support that.

Apparently the quote comes from a campaign promise he made in Manchester NH, 6/22/07 just as it states in the TP. Hard campaign promise to keep when it comes to actually being President.
