This is the same B.S. we saw in Iraq--the U.S. doing 105% of the heavy-lifting and the local government contributing -5%.

If the government and populace are not willing to stand up for themselves, we should leave. Such an outcome would not be a failure on the part of the U.S; it would be a failure of local leadership.

It's time for us to stop being so paternalistic in these wars and start calling people out on their behavior. Take the fricken political initiative for God's sake!
