Punishing Cheney for that would be tantamount to punishing a Mafia Don for jaywalking.

At least the guy who thrust his face in front of Cheney's shotgun had the decency to come out and apologize to the vice president for putting him through such an unpleasant episode.

That's right, the guy just inexplicably flung himself directly into the line of fire. The vice president didn't shoot his friend in the face, no matter what the liberals tell you. He did not shoot his friend in the face.

because it was the only thing he did that most people liked. someone, anyone, needs to tell many of our representatives to go fuck themselves.

I hate Dick Cheney and slightly like Leahy, but this is completely right.

Cheney has never had to face any kind of punishment for any of his actions; not even as a teenager. I remember!!

Say what you want to about Cheney but I still like him. He once shot a lawyer....and got away with it.
