I love how often "righties" toss imply the people they disagree with are cowards (implying they're brave). And golly gee, thanks for clarifying that you meant Democrat when you said Democrat. I may be reading too much into the word, but to me it seems as if the source of the smell you noticed might in fact be coming from you.

Is Slate always so full of hyperintellectuals who say meaningless stuff? I was once told that the only way the Iraq war and Vietnam war could be "similar" is if they both involved French bungling. I didn't realize "similar" had such a specific definition attached to it. People suck.

There is nothing "hyperintellectual" in my criticism of Wall Street and the other morons who insist on calling it the Democrat Party. They mean it to be denigrating and demeaning, even though they know it is clearly improper grammar. The correct term is Democratic Party. Those that use the wrong term simply demonstrate their ignorance and lack of maturity.

Wall Street is trying to annoy Democrats by mislabeling the party in a childish manner. He's demonstrating that he knows the correct term is Democratic Party (or Democratic operatives or Democratic partisans or any other use where "Democrat" is used as an adjective), but he's choosing to use the demeaning version.
