Obama does not want this to get out, but sooner or later the details will be reported and even the mainstream will have to give it some space.

Dick Cheney was an asset to America. He was villified by the liberals, but he is a hero who saved American lives with his strong empahsis on security. Whatever it takes to save American lives is justified. Harry Truman was the first to use this doctrine when he dropped two A bombs in Japan which would bring the war to an end and save at least 500,000 lives. There were innocent men women and childrens killed in Hiroshima and Nagasaki. No politicians dared to investigate the Truman Administration for acts of inhumanity.

Times have changed. We have raised generations of liberal wimps and apologizers. Obama is one of them. They set moral standards based on political anger rather than protecting Americans.

Protection is job 1. Visit nations which cannot protect their people like Iraq and Afganistan and you will start to appreciate Cheney, Bush who set their sights on securing our nation. God help us if Obama compromises our security for some political gains.

Bush/Cheney made the changes after the event. As you know CIA and FBI did not talk with each other and rumors were always flying around during Clinton years, most of which were false, or never happened. Firing a missile at an aspirin factory or at an empty training camp in Afganistan was as far as Clinton went. Most CIA were totally demotivated and their intelligence was seriously flawed. As you know the intelligence continued to be flawed into 2002 when both Congress and President were convinced there were WMD's in Iraq. Cheney and Bush have straightened out the CIA/FBI and left the new President with a good start. Let's hope he continues. Panneta was not a good choice, but we can only pray he is just not a political hack, or we will be attacked again.

It took the death of 3000 and a near collapse of our economic system to change things. And the changes instituted have continued to protect us for 8 years. In contrast we had numerous terrorist attacks under Clinton 8yrs----the WTC, the Okahoma city bombing, the Cole , the Kandahar towers, and we cut and ran from Mogadishu after being humiliated. Nobody realized that 3 of these terrorist attacks were a prelude to an even bigger event----9/11.

No humiliations have occured until Obama took over. Now they kidnap at will, fire missiles toward Hawaii, release murderers of 180 Americans to a hero's welcome. Obama has got to man up and get tough. This wimpy liberal stuff does not work.

Nope -- sorry. Doesn't fly. They had been warned, and warned repeatedly. They didn't care. And after it happened they used it to get us deeper into trouble. They were either fools or evil people (perhaps a combination of both).

Oh please can we stop with the Cheney for SAINTHOOD crap? Why do people like you refuse to face the fact that Bush/Chaney Inc. screwed up and let 19 a'holes get away with mass murder? The CIA under Tenet was clueless about the whole thing and convinced the Pres. that WMDs were a "slam dunk". Have you forgotten it was Cheney who told us how the OIL in Iraq would more than pay for the cost of the war?? Only thing Cheney did right was give Halliburton/KBR/Blackwater sole source contracts to enrich his former associates.

Cheney/Bush were in charge for eight months before 9/11. They plain messed up. Three thousand dead. Response to the madman Saudi perp hiding out in Afghanistan? Attack Iran. Result? Four thousand US dead, perhaps a million Iraqis. No WMD, , so they lied to the public, spied on the public and wiped their ass on the United States Constitution.

With a track record like that, I'd say anything to avoid a performance review.
