A little reminder,Jack.

3000 dead because he refused to listen.

Another 4500 dead,thousands wounded,suffering for a lifetime.

Hundreds of thousands of Iraq, women,Children and men dead, thanks to his lies and negligence.

I do not even have to put a name to this post. All know who I am talking about!

Silly? When you make an ass out of yourself and I give it back? I do not think so. Also, you should know me well enough to know putdowns do not phase me.

I know this makes you angry to have your words thrown back at you. My facts were recent.Yours are ancient history.

Have a nice day,

MaryAnne

What a contrast!

Rather than admit he was wrong, JD just changes the subject.

I can think of no single Republican congress person, living or dead who has impacted so many lives through legislation he promoted, his compassion for others to people large and small and maybe that's what's driving the smallness of some Republicans--jealousy.

The thousands of people who lined the route from Hyannis to Boston, from Boston to DC and on to Arnlington are usually reserved for heads of state, presidents but it was a genuine outpouring of gratitude and affection. Yes, he had his faults--no one is perfect but one cannot focus solely on his faults without recognizing that which was good.

Kennedy remained in the Senate until his death. The fact that neither he nor the Democrats nor the people of Massachusetts saw fit to remove Kennedy says more about their collective lack of moral character than Jack or I could ever say.
Re: His last name was Kennedy...

If it had been anything else he'd have been out of the Senate (assuming he ever got there) and into prison 40 years ago.

You sound like Cabot Lodge on Ted's first run.Ted cut him down too when he said they needed to discuss the real problems and not personality when Lodge complained about his name.

What about death and destruction is silly in her post?

Re: Prior to being a Senator
by MWG

Kennedy was a drunk, had several DUIs, and was a cheater.

Not much of a resume for a Senator.

Once he became a Senator he continued the above but added manslaughter, obstruction of justice, witness tampering, making false police report, perjury and leaving the scene of an accident.

Not much of a resume for continuing to be a Senator.

But, his name was Kennedy and the state was Massachusetts.
