A view from Canada

I grew up in Ohio, but have lived in Canada since I was 15. I have family and friends on both sides of the border. After watching the mass stupidity, and the insurance company inspired deception of the American people, my views of the issue have changed. I used to feel sympathy for Americans with no heath care who lose their homes when they get ill or injured, but no longer. How gullible can the American people be? I now see they will get exactly what they deserve, and what they apparently desire. Perhaps it is paranoia of any collective type of health plan - an irrational fear of communism perhaps - that leads Americans to cheer as insurance companies screw them and take everything they own. But after watching the idiocy of the American people in these debates I can only say one thing to my American friends and relatives. Good luck. You will get exactly the health care plan you deserve. I am so glad I live in Canada.
The Debate Is Being Hijacked By Disinformed Morons.

The truth was the first casualty in this debate of ours. So far, the side of sound reason and average practicality is being drowned out by the insane barkings of a segment of our population that is just absolutely as backwards as you can imagine. They are racist, Fox News-watching subhumans.

And they can get away with their lunatic bullshit tantrums and their crazed, scripted stupidity because the Dems - so far - refuse to deal with them and shut them down like they need to be.

Each and every one of these Town Hall Yelling geezers who barf Glenn Beck talking points deserves to have their Social Security and Medicade stripped from them ASAP.

H. L. Mencken once said that "Democracy is the theory that the common people know what they want and deserve to get it good and hard."

Another salient HL Mencken quote: "Nobody ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of the American public."
