When you can no longer see humor for humor's sake, well?????
by JUST_IN_CASE

The other day a man being interviewed commented about his own roots that his mother was German, his dad a chicano and from the earliest recollections of his childhood he remembered his dad's stab at humor -- "he called me his little beanerschnitzel." He missed dad and dad's humor. I can see why. His dad would be troubled to live with the warped set of standards dictated today regarding the melting pot that contributed so much to this nation's growth. All through the years we poked fun at one another and look where it took us -- to the top of the ladder among nations.

So true, Gramps.

It must be hard for comedians these days to be funny and pc at the same time. Some of my favorite old jokes were ethnic ones.

It sure is different in this day and age.

That's why I like Carlos Mencia...something to offend everyone...he lets no one off the hook.
