What I liked about Today's Papers was that it provided a one-page summary and analysis of the major news headlines, and it had personality and humor. Slatest is just a collection of links, like so many others. I have no interest in clicking through a dozen pages. I read the online NYT when I have time; Today's Papers is--was the quick and entertaining way to catch up on the news when I didn't have the time. I will miss it greatly. I will unsubscribe from the Slatest because it offers nothing that I don't get elsewhere in a better format.

I fully agree with you if I wanted to Google I can do it myself with no help from Slate. In fact if they continue this foolishness I have no need for Slate.
