I own the world's most valuable...
by oxmont

.....beverage and that makes me happy, and it makes me wish every human on the globe had a fair share.

I am against thievery as a matter of principal but I cannot have any feelings of sorrow for anyone who loses money in an attempt to buy half million dollar bottles of wine unless my sorrow is for this person's lack of having "a life" in spite of being wealthy. Just think, if any person with such means took a million dollars and invested it in having new wells dug in poor countries where the population has no safe water, then that person would have indeed invested in a priceless beverage. Life is so much more satisfying when one has a heart of gold instead of having a golden purse.

How do you know that he hasn't already given a million or even many millions to such causes? For all we know, he's remarkably charitable and helpful. Either way, if he's made his fortune he's surely entitled to spend it howsoever he wishes - and should he be caught up in a scam then he's entitled to try and fight his way out of it. Irrespective of whether you feel any sorrow for him or not.

Keep in mind that the $12 we spend on a movie or CD can mean two life-saving mosquito nets for children in Africa and let's hope that nobody else is judging us by the standard you seek to set against the super-rich.
