His private Christian army....
Not related, but we learn something else today as well.

Ex-Homeland Security top dawg Tom Ridge spilt him some beans in his latest book, which is called "The Test Of Our Time". In the book (it's due out next month) Ridge states that the administration of Bush/Cheney played politics with the terror alerts just before the presidential election of 2004, which - of course - everyone but dumb cons suspected that it did.

I'm just glad that a respected person like Tom Ridge would get that off of his chest, and not be afraid of being called a liar and an opportunist while doing so.

But I bet ol' Fox News takes issue with him, though.

Loki - why would I be surprised at this?

Some of us have been saying for years that the Bush/Cheney administration was treating Halliburton and Blackwater as their own private armies. (What with "no-bid" contracts, and no accounting for hundreds of millions of dollars in cash supplied to Halliburton and Blackwater that still hasn't been accounted for.)

So, why would we be surprised to find out we were correct all along?

Blackwater

What still stuns me is how little media play this has received other than Jeremy Scahill tenacious research. This guy ought to get the Pulitzer for journalism and the Salman Rushdie Fatwa survival medal for not being offed by those murderers.
